Memorial Day Holiday 吃吃團

話說趁著Memorial Day三天連假，我們一行人又與阿姨、表妹到Las Vegas去玩。與其說是去玩，到不如說是去大吃一頓比較貼切。畢竟我們又不賭，而這次是真的連吃角子老虎都沒摸到。

We went to Las Vegas again during the Memorial Day weekend with Lucy Auntie and Kei-Kei, not really for the gambling, but for the buffet!!!!

在從LA往賭城的路上，一個叫做Apple Valley的地方。名字聽起來很美，但事實上一片沙漠，到底哪裡有蘋果我實在看不出來。其實媽媽在好多年前曾經在這裡買過一塊地，因此我們還特地繞了過去看這一片傳說中的土地。天啊.... 真的是LITERALLY in the middle of no where !!!!! 你也想擁有一片加州的土地嗎？歡迎各位來做鄰居~~

On our way from LA to Vegas, we had to pass a town called Apple Valley. Mom have a piece of land there, so we made a stop to see that land. It is LITERALLY in the middle of no where…. So, if you ever want a piece of California, you are more then welcome to be our neighbor!!!!

What’s Growing In My Garden…

Well, technically it’s not a garden but more like my balcony. First up, my rose bush!!! This was a gift from a friend and I’m so happy to see it finally bloomed~~ It is so beautiful!!!! Now I can have fresh cut roses everyday~~ The only problem I have with the rose bush is there is a lot of little green bugs (Aphid 蚜蟲) on it. I have been spraying it with soap water and hand pick them everyday but they are just so hard to get rid of. Any suggestions?

Mom Visiting~~

四月底時鄒媽媽從台灣跑來美國玩，主要是要去密西根找姊姊和妹妹。但因為來回都會經過加州，所以就順便停留幾天拜訪阿姨和我們兼調時差。我們到LA接她那天和表妹及阿姨去逛比佛利山莊著名的Rodeo Drive！！就是電影麻雀變鳳凰中超多買不起精品店的那條街。其實Rodeo Drive只是短短的一條小巷子，但是裝飾得很漂亮，特別是燈上的花籃，花開的超美的~~~

Mom came to visit us in April and May. Since she flew in through LA, we went out with Lucy Auntie and Kei-Kei when we were there to pick her up. They took us to the famous Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. It is just a short alley, but very pretty, especially those flower baskets hanging on the lamp posts!!!!
